It’s the second day of January and our first walk of 2025. Jaclyn wanted to ‘bag’ Esk Pike so we devised a lovely route from Great Langdale that would include Bowfell via The Band, and a return journey via Rossett Pass and along the valley of Mickleden. It was very icy in places so microspikes were essential.
