Emily and I still needed to bag Melbreak and Hen Comb so todays plan was a girly outing with just the two of us. Richard dropped us both off at Loweswater. The ascent up the scree path on Melbreak was fun to say the least, but when we joined the scrambling section we were both in our element. We stopped briefly on the first summit for snacks. It was a pleasant descent to the head of Mosedale where we had a boggy section before eventually ascending Hen Comb.
