I found a really good scrambling route this morning up and onto Miller Stands, before continuing along the ridge to Blake Rigg, Bleaberry Knott and finally Pike o’ Blisco. It’s nice to complete a round for this group because Blake Rigg is usually one of those ‘there and back’ tops, but this route also avoids Wainwrights horrible route up the gully next to it, which is now out of fashion so to speak. It is also a true way of climbing the whole ridge, right from its base all the way to the parent fell. I’m now looking forward to blogging this walk.

Blake Rigg has some of the finest tarns in Lakeland, and is certainly on par with the ridge between Glaramara and Allen Crags. What a wonderful photography day.
