A wonderful walk today over Lingmoor Fell and along Great Langdale. It is that time of year when the heather is out in all its glory, and where better to witness it than on this solitary fell which divides the Langdale valleys. It just happens to also provide the best view in Lakeland, from a subsidiary summit looking out to the Crinkles and Bowfell at the head of Great Langdale.
