I was very honoured to be invited by Chris Butterfield of www.alfredwainwright.co.uk to join a group of lovely, influential people on a walk to Haystacks from Honister Slate Mine. The event was arranged as part of a new publication called Forty Fells, a follow-up to the 2023 Lakeland Book of the Year, Forty Farms. The publisher and the team behind Countrystride (www.inspiredbylakeland.co.uk) interviewed and photographed the group, all of whom have a strong connection with the fells.
