Some photos from our walk to Barnscar Settlement and to the “Pepperpot” (Stainton Tower) from Broad Oak. This was an important recce for the last day of the Lakeland Way, where we wanted to test the “bog” after much rain recently. It turned out fine; well, Emily floated across while I sank a bit! The “bog” (not thought of a better name yet) will be a ‘point of interest’ on the website.
