Some images from our walk over Loughrigg Fell, taking in all the subsidiary tops, including Todd Crag, both the official and the local one, Ivy Crag, Blackmire, and plenty of unnamed little lumps scattered along the ridge.
We returned to Ambleside via Rydal Cave and the Rydal Estate, where coffee and a well-earned onion and pork sausage roll were devoured at the Old School Room Tea Shop.
For me, this time of year is perfect for Loughrigg Fell. A light frost makes the paths easy to follow, and the views are simply spectacular.
