When we brought Frankie to the Lake District he was already at an age where he could do the long walks over the fells. However, with Tika, that time is of course a long way off; probably starting from spring next year, and then building him up to more adventurous climbs. It is nice though, for the time being, to find some of these nice little local walks for him, where he can be off lead to explore at will. Today’s walk was in Thornthwaite, which included a splash in Comb/Chapel Beck, a run in a meadow and lunch at St Mary’s Church.
