While Richard was out climbing Wetherlam with friends, I took the kids to the valley of Mungrisdale for a play in the River Glenderamackin. One came home with soggy feet, and the other with soggy paws, so they must have enjoyed themselves. Emily was overjoyed to find a mermaid rock to bask in the summer sun, and a heart-shaped stone as a memento of the day. Tika meanwhile, is loving these walks to the rivers and becks of Lakeland.
