It was a very special day for the whole family today, when Tika was introduced to the smells of a Lake District valley and tasted the purity of a Lakeland beck. We parked up next to Gatesgarthdale Beck, below Honister Hause on the Buttermere side, and enjoyed having the valley to ourselves for a while.
Next Tuesday Tika will meet Frankie for the first time, and I’m sure Frankie will be keen to show him the delights that Lakeland has to offer. We finished our morning dip with lunch at the Glaramara Hotel in Borrowdale.
