Lakeland in blue — blue and more blue.
Yesterday we walked a section of the Lakeland Way, from Buttermere to Braithwaite, which is Day 4 of the twelve-day long-distance walk. The route follows the lovely western shoreline of Crummock Water and the very remote Gasgale Gill, before dropping down and along the valley of Coledale.
The weather was superb, and our progress was helped by a light, cool breeze from the north. This is Lakeland at its best.
Our main objective was to photograph the route for the Lakeland Way website, and to take advantage of all the blue and yellow at this time of year. These will be sorted and uploaded within the next few weeks.
