An adventurous family day out in glorious walking weather, visiting Lowther Park Plantation, Uldale, Nannycatch, Kinniside Stone Circle and Upper Calder.

Along the way, we found many interesting things to photograph, including Fuligo septica—more commonly known as scrambled egg slime, or dog vomit slime mould.

Towards the end of the walk, we scrambled down to the pools below the wonderful Monks Bridge, one of the oldest bridges in Lakeland and at least 500 years old.
