Sunrise over Seat Sandal from the summit of Tarn Crag, with surrounding views captured in the short window of alpine glow. What a wonderful moment — feeling the warmth of a new day, with very little wind and complete silence.
This was my second camp on Tarn Crag in the last two weeks — the reason being that, on my last trip, I had a lot of cloud in the morning, which ruined the chance of photographing the route down to Grasmere. On this occasion, however, we got lucky, and we also found a new path (for us, that is) that traversed lower than the one we knew, as it reached the path coming down from Codale Head.
Far Easedale was wonderful, with fast-moving clouds providing great scenes of light and shade.
A new memory, and a new friendship. Many thanks for joining me and sharing this experience, Dave Scott.
